Directions to Newark Head & Newark Rowing Club

The event takes place at Newark Rowing Club, which is situated next door to Newark Marina, on the River Devon.

If you are coming from the Nottingham direction:-

Stay on the A46 all the way to Newark. You will pass through a village on your left, Farndon, after which there is a roundabout. You need to branch off to the right here into Newark Center (B6166) - do not turn left onto the A46 Newark bypass. Continue on this road for approximately 3/4 mile & you will see the Rowing Club on your left before a small bridge spanning the Devon.

If you are coming from a Lincoln direction or from the A1:-

Leave the A1 at the Winthorpe exit and follow directions to A46 Nottingham/Leicester. Continue on the A46 - exiting left onto B6166 into Newark on Farndon Road, follow road for 3/4 mile as above.

Newark Rowing Club has a good sized car-park. Obviously on Newark Head race day you will be advised on where to park along Farndon Road.

 
Parking

Please park either in Newark Marina (adjacent to the rowing club, over the bridge) or on the road outside the Rowing Club.

Trailers only to be parked in the Rowing Club car park.

If parking on the road, only park the same side as the Rowing Club. It is a busy road and we must not obstruct other road users.
